SAFEGUARDING and protecting CHILDREN

This qualification will give learners the knowledge and understanding to safeguard and protect children, young adults, adults at risk and adults in the workplace. Learners will be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse and act on these concerns.

Know legislation relevant to safeguarding and protection

Understand the different types of abuse

Know how to respond to a disclosure of abuse

Assessment and certification

Continuous assessment throughout the course and learners will complete a multiple question paper at the end of the course.

It is recommended that this qualification is refreshed every 3 years.
